My name is Chloe Shao and I am a fourth year mechanical engineering student at the University of Toronto.
I am a visual learner and like to work with physical objects. My interests include visual arts and industrial design. In class, I learned about the technical side of Solidworks so when I decided to improve my modelling skills, I focused on aesthetics. Lately, I have been modelling characters and French desserts.
I decided to specialize in mechatronics to satisfy my curiosity for robots. To jump-start my learning, I joined the University of Toronto's Robotics Association SUMO club in my second year where I built an autonomous robot by myself. As for my second stream, I picked Solid Mechanics and Design to learn more about mechanisms since I am fascinated by anything that moves.
My hobbies include drawing, 3D modelling, sculpting, resin casting, painting, video games, and reading.
