This is a metal fan box made using SolidWork's sheet metal tools during the MechEngage workshops.
It started off as a sketch of the base with flanges added to create the walls. The edges and seams were finished using hems. Finally, the vent hole was cut using the vent feature and mirrored onto the other side. If I were to remodel this box, I would make the overall size of the vent smaller to prevent the hemming on the walls from covering the gaps.
